SEARCHING BY AUTHOR
In order to perform an author search, the user must first specify the time
frame of the search i.e. Current Issue, Past Issues or All Issues. Next
one enters the author's last name (and optionally his/her first name). If
the spelling is not correct or the full name is not entered, the search
engine will retrieve all similar names and display them in a list. One then
clicks on the name of the author of interest. The result will be a display
of all SRO articles by the author. One may view any of these articles by
clicking on its title. It is also possible to view multiple abstracts by
the author by activating the check box next to the author's name and then
clicking on the "Get All Checked Articles" button.

monitor. Each keyword is followed by two options:

Depending on which of these two options has been chosen, the result will
either be a list of all SRO articles in which the abstract contains the
specified Keyword or all SRO articles in which the title contains the specified

CUSTOMIZING YOUR SEARCH
Any SRO search can be focused in on a very specific timeframe. Refining
the search in this way can speed up the search dramatically. There are three
ways to specify the time frame of an SRO search.
- Current Issue- will just search all of the articles in the current
issue.
- Past Issues- will search a specific past issue or issues within a
specific timeframe.
- All Issues- will search all issues of SRO.
Current issues can be searched by selecting a type of search (author, category
or keyword) from the Current Issue section of the initial search screen
and clicking the "Enter" button. Past Issues can be searched by first selecting
the type of past issue search, specifying the desired timeframe, the type
of search (author, category or keyword) and clicking the "Enter" button.
All issues can be searched by selecting a type of search (author, category
or keyword) from the Current Issue section of the initial search screen
and clicking th e "Enter" button.
