GLOSSARY
The special features of SRO consist of Current Claims, Discussion Forums, Reprint Requests and a Glossary. These allow readers to become involved and "participate" in the discussion of SRO articles (Discussion Forum) and to obtain an overview of their content (Current Claim) as well as to request, automatically, reprints of all articles published in SRO (via the Reprint Request feature). Finally, comprehensive descriptions of important sleep and neuroscience terms are listed in the Glossary, thus ensuring that readers will be able to understand that with which they are not familiar.

CURRENT CLAIMS

Current Claims are one-sentence descriptions of the principal findings or significance of each article. The sentences are declarative and written in the present tense, such as "Glycine is the neurotransmitter responsible for the postsynaptic inhibition of motoneurons during REM sleep." When they are read as a narrative, the Current Claims tell the story of the research presented in all of the articles published in SRO.

DISCUSSION FORUMS

Each article in SRO is accompanied by its very own Discussion Forum. To join in or even listen unobserved, simply click on the words "Discussion Forum" in the tool bar at the top of each SRO article. You will likely find yourself in the midst of a heated discussion of the pros and cons of the data contained in the article that you are viewing. Alternatively, you may simply "browse" the Discussion Forums of all articles in SRO.

REPRINT REQUESTS

(For Articles in SRO)

Reprints for each SRO article may be requested directly and automatically from the author. Simply click on the "Reprint Request" button and a formatted E-mail Reprint Request will be generated; it will include the author's E-mail address, the complete citation of the article and your name and address. A message to the author can also be inserted. Then simply click on the "Reprint Request" button and, voila! Your reprint request will arrive in the author's E-mail box in a matter of seconds, or even sooner! Alternatively, you may have a reprint request with all of the pertinent information, ready for mailing, generated from your own printer -- simply fold it and mail.


GLOSSARY

SRO maintains a searchable online glossary of sleep and neuroscience terms to aid individuals while reading SRO articles. To utilize this feature, click on the "Glossary" button in the toolbar at the top of each SRO article, and you will be presented with a search input box. Simply input the term which you would like defined, click on the "Find Term" button, and a definition of the term will appear in the same window. There is also a "browse" feature that allows one to click on letters of the alphabet and be presented with all definitions which begin with that letter.
