SEARCHING BY CATEGORY
In order to perform a category
search one must first specify the time frame in which one wishes to focus the search i.e. Current Issue,
Past Issues or All Issues. A list of all SRO Categories will appear on the computer's monitor. Each category
will be followed by the "Number of SRO Articles" which fall under that SRO Category. By clicking on the
Category name all SRO Articles which are classified under that category will be displayed. One may
view any of these articles by clicking on its title. It is also possible to view multiple abstracts by the
author by activating the check box next to the author's name and then clicking on the "Get All Checked
Articles" button.
CUSTOMIZING YOUR SEARCH
Any SRO search can be
focused in on a very specific timeframe. Refining the search in this way can speed up the search
dramatically. There are three ways to specify the time frame of an SRO search. - Current Issue-
will just search all of the articles in the current issue.
- Past Issues- will search a specific past issue or
issues within a specific timeframe.
- All Issues- will search all issues of SRO.
Current issues can
be searched by selecting a type of search (author, category or keyword) from the Current Issue section of the initial search screen and
clicking the "Enter" button. Past Issues can be searched by first selecting the type of past issue search,
specifying the desired timeframe, the type of search (author, category or keyword) and
clicking the "Enter" button. All issues can
be searched by selecting a type of search (author, category or keyword) from the Current Issue section of the initial search screen and
clicking the "Enter" button.
