ABSTRACT BROWSER
All abstracts in a given
issue can be quickly and easily viewed by using the Abstract Browser. Under each
title, in the Table of Contents, there is a "View Abstract" button. When you
click this button, a new window will appear with the abstract of the article.
Only one abstract is displayed in the Abstract Browser at a time. In order to
view the next abstract in the issue, click the "Next" button. Previous abstracts
can be viewed by clicking on the "Previous" button.
The Abstract Browser also contains a toolbar at the top which allows the user to
PRINT the current abstract (see below), to E-mail or print a REPRINT
REQUEST for that article, or to
VIEW the complete ARTICLE of that abstract.
Print an Abstract
When you click the "Print Abstract" button, a window will appear with the
abstract that is formatted
for easy printing.
When the page has finished loading, simply click the "Print" button on your Web
browser to generate a printout of
the abstract. Once printed, simply close the window to resume viewing the
Abstract Browser.
If nothing happens when you click on the "Print Abstract" button, most likely you
used this feature previously
but did not close the window once you were done printing. If this is the case,
try switching between your
browser windows and one of them should contain the abstract you are trying to
print.
Once you have downloaded and installed Acrobat Reader, click the "View/Print
Article(PDF)" button on the
Current Issue to download the PDF version of the article you are interested in.
The article will automatically
appear in
the Acrobat Reader when the file has finished transferring. You can either read
the article or use
the print function within the Acrobat Reader to generate a printout of the
article.
REPRINT REQUESTS
A Reprint Request may be sent
via E-mail or by conventional mail to the author of any SRO articles. Reprint
Requests may be generated automatically by clicking on the appropriate button:
- On the menu bar of the SRO article you are reading;
- Below the title of the desired SRO article in the Current Issue; or
- On the tool bar in the Abstract Browser.
First, enter your last name so the system can retrieve your address information.
Then, choose whether to send the reprint request via E-mail or conventional mail.
(Note: Requesting reprints by E-mail is faster and you do not have to have an E-mail account.) Now
click "Enter".
If you are in the WFSRS International Directory, your name will appear and simply
click on the "Proceed" button
to continue.
If you are not in the Directory, you will have the opportunity to fill out your
address information so they
can be inserted into the Reprint Request. Then, a formatted E-mail or a letter to
the author,
requesting a reprint, is automatically generated depending on which one you
selected earlier.
Reprint Request Via E-mail
If you selected the E-mail option, a preview of the message will appear in your
browser as well as an editing window
if you wish to modify the E-mail message. If no changes are necessary, click on
"Send E-mail" and your
request will be sent to the author. If you do modify the message, click on
"Preview" to see the customized message.
Once you have verified the changes, click on the "Send E-mail" to send the
request to the author.
Reprint Request Via Conventional Mail
If you choose this
option, a reprint request letter will appear in the browser window. To print the
request,
click the "Print" button on your browser. Once printed, follow the folding
instructions, place a
stamp on the upper right corner, and drop it in the mailbox to receive your
reprint.
